BioJowy grew up in Kyaro with his mother, stepfather and stepbrother. He joined the Highland Army's Unicorn Brigade, and was about to be discharged when Luca Blight led an attack on the camp. He narrowly escaped with his life, and afterwards spent a brief period aiding the Jowston side of the ensuing conflict, before deciding to change Highland from within. He gained the trust of the Highland generals and leaders by murdering Annabelle, and eventually worked his way up the ranks. Before he led the seige on Greenhill, Jowy met Klaus, and Klaus aided him to come up with a plan to take Greenhill, and ultimately ensure his influence by marrying Jillia Blight.
After the war, Jowy decided he wanted to fade into anonymity, so he left Highland and travelled for many years alone. He came across Budehuc castle, and, by chance, was reunited with Klaus. The two of them got together shortly after, and although their relationship was frought with difficulties, the biggest being the revelation that Jowy had a son, it survived and they eloped to Harmonia. They were detained there for longer than they anticipated, however, when Klaus' mother took ill.
